It’s hard to imagine a company such as Aston Martin, changing its much loved logo but a recent act by the brand made the auto world think otherwise. Known for being one of the most prestigious and iconic badges in the business today, a recent trademark filing by the brand was discovered by Auto Guide for a new logo design instantly creating panic.
The trademark was initially filed last July for it to be used with Aston Martin merchandise as well as on advertising. What created the panic, however, was that the logo was filed again last week so that it could be used for clothing, mobile phones, automobile chassis, leather and the design of land vehicles making everyone believe that the ‘Wings’ logo that is so loved would no longer be used.
But it seems that the brand has no such intentions! As soon as this news went viral on the internet, Andy Palmer, Aston Martin’s president and chief executive officer, tweeted “For those who reached out, we have no intention to remove/change the Aston Martin Wings. This logo is for merchandise.”
